SF: Tine's map!

click to enlargeWhen visiting Monica's site last week reading her 'Dreams & Visions' post I remembered that quite a while back (two years maybe) she had first written about her map. Reading her follow-up post all this time later fascinated me. I had never done created a map like this before so I thought 'Maybe it is time to give it a try?! Heck, why not.'
So I sat down with a stack of normal paper taping the![]()

I began on the left and made my way with circles, squared boxes and tons of arrows over to the right and stayed on the right continuing on the page below. I remembered that in her first map she had used some colour so I thought I'd may as well colour it all in choosing cheerful, bright and dynamic colours.

Soon I was adding more and more details like stars, hearts, splashes of colours and quotes... etc. It is so much fun! I keep adding things/goals to it or 'destination points' as one can also call them with it being a map. I love the idea of it being a map for your travels through your life's journey. I keep my map handy and look at it from time to time. Collages are another wonderful way of creating a visual map for yourself to figure out the What and Where to's in your life. We could try that next maybe. Now the coming-true-part still remains to be seen but it worked that way for Monica so why not?!
This whole map exercise reminded me of this book I had always wanted to buy. It has stuck in my mind for many years now because it is such a unique and beautiful idea (this is the German edition and I am thrilled to see that they translated it in English).
Looking for further reading I found this book here and this one (I love the illustration on the cover and the content sounds great) . There are a ton of resources out there. Most important of all for oneself: make a start and begin.
