Salut everyone!
I am back from my travels to the absolutely amazing city of Montreal!! Montreal is the Paris of North America for sure!
So getting back into the swing of things was a bit slow for me. Quite tricky to decide on just one thing to save but it forced me to think what really matters most. Since my studio is not a studio anymore but more a creative desk that alone has helped me to narrow items (such as supplies of all kinds and nic-nacs) down and keep my focus on what's on my desk. My camera and Mac are sat in the other room so they are safe (sigh of relief) and all my dozens and dozens of books and magazines could be replaced and bought again which would leave me with the things I wouldn't be able to buy anew. There are all my sketch books of course,  but lately I don't even use them much anymore but get into the paints right away.
Now... the one thing I would grab in my hurry to save it is: my stack of oil pastel pictures. They are invaluable to me and my everything. I wouldn't be able to repaint them again. I have them all stacked up in a pile so it is actually quite handy to grab that pile (la-di-da, quite embarrassing, I know I should be better organized). I will look for a solution of a portfolio case though, it's about time and it would definitely make the reaching for the handle and carrying it around easier...

Oh yes! Montreal is lovely! Quebec City is fabulous too if your get back to the area again.. I don't blame you, I think I'd grab the stack and run! (all of my art is in boxes in the space above our garage so its safe for me)
Love the art piece! The texture with the metallic papers is wonderful!

Definitely get that case sorted out so that you don't drop your pile of pastels when you're escaping from the fire. Your new work is so beautiful Tine!

or some kind of fireproof flat file... wouldn't that be great?
Oh yeah, those I would take for sure! I checked them out not too long ago and they are so beautiful! You can tell, that you loved to create them.
