SF: FAVOURITE RESOURCE(S)!

The resources I visit and revisit are books!  I have always loved books ever since I was a kid and always have my nose in one book  or read three parallel at the same time hopping back and forth.  I have worked in a lot of bookstores over the past  ten years on and off and as magical as it was there was also the torture of trying to not leave the whole paycheques behind spending it on books. I always have a long list of what I want to read next.
In the photo to the left are a few of my creative and inspirational books and my favourite magazine I flip through again and again depending whether what I need is a crumb of encouragement or inspiration or illuminating wisdom to gain further understanding. Most pages are marked and underlined full of marked pages with folded corners (Donkey ears / Eselsohren we call them in German), underlined paragraphs, exclamation marks on the sides en mass, little doodles. It's the way I 'work' with a book and it helps me to find certain things easier again should I go have another read later. I love reading stories about other creative women and the process of creating itself.
I am sure I have forgotten one book or the other in my 'little humble' pile, hehe. I like quotes, too. Last week I came across this wonderful quote:

THINK OF THE WORLD YOU CARRY WITHIN YOU....
BE ATTENTIVE TO THAT WHICH RISES UP IN YOU AND SET IT ABOVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU OBSERVE ABOUT YOU. WHAT GOES ON IN YOUR INNERMOST BEING IS WORTHY OF YOUR WHOLE LOVE; YOU MUST SOMEHOW KEEP WORKING AT IT.
Rainer Maria Rilke
Letters to a Young Poet

And now I am finally, finally off to the bookstore now to take a look at the Artful Blogging magazine the interview with me about Studio Friday is featured in! So exciting!!

Hi!!!!
Thanks for all the great support over on my blog!!!
And congratulation on your interview!
Would you like to post it??
I can require Erich Fromm: "The art of being/ vom Haben zum Sein" , and concerning Julia Cameron: I worked with "the Artist's way" for a while.
Last week we visited Cologne. First store, we stepped in was a bookstore, quite five times as big as our local one...we came out with about ten paperbacks....and had to carry them the whole way!! ;)

i have not seen those three books on self promotion, career and time management. are they good? most of the books I have read lately don't tell how to deal with issues outside of intereaction with a gallery - so difficult with galleries closing thier doors left and right these days. I am wondering if galleries will open back up in the next few years?
Love your books I might have to get a couple of those. I just picked up Artfull Blogging!!! :) Congrats
