As I was creating more 'Sparkle Birds' today I needed more card board which serves as the base of the bird's inside (the skeleton one could also say). All the moving boxes had been cut up and tossed out long ago but oh wait... how about the bright yellow package I had received from my parents for Christmas?! That should do the trick.
I always make do with what I have at hand first and so I cut up the box and started to assemble the birds. I used the brown side of the box to fasten the legs and the yellow box itself was all forgotten until I98805-656374-thumbnail.jpg

turned one little guy  around...aha! How very interesting! So much fun! Oh well, don't toss things out, they may come in handy again later and lead you in a whole new direction altogether when you least expect it. As for these little guys, they still need their antennas... turning them into Sparkle Birds though? I'm not so sure. I like them the way they are. They have gotten a whole new meaning altogether now with their German feather dresses. They do inspire me to continue exploring this direction though.
