SF: TOOLS OF THE TRADE!

98805-461552-thumbnail.jpgA few sketches instead of photos for this Studio Friday.
Since I work in different mediums there are a lot of  different tools I use (I love tools). To the left in the image are my favourite tools that I use all the time...maybe you remember it from this SF? So those are a few of the tools I use to make my birds. But 98805-461551-thumbnail.jpgthese days it tickles me to pick up my paint brush again and paint my heart out or as in this medium that I used marker my heart out. I had forgotten all about this quick sketch I did years ago. I found it in a picture frame yesterday when changing the picture in it.
What a find, I was all thrilled about it. You can see the whole image here if you like. Using my markers in art school was my favourite. In this case here I used cheap paper which turned yellow over time plus using regular paper is not a good thing to do with markers. But oh well... so much fun

Very beautiful! I love how you have rendered the paint brush, I had to click on it to realize it was a painting not a photo!

Wow Tine, GREAT sketches! That paint brush one, absolutely FANTASTIC! I wish I could get back to my painting...only it was freehand, I simply painted ceramics and plaster pieces. :)

Once again you have inspired me Tine. I love the paintbrush. I went off to the Art Shop this morning and to my amazement I found they had imported Copic Markers.I tried them out in the shop and am so impressed. They are really expensive here in S.Africa but I'm going to splash out and buy a few every month.
